At least six FC men killed in South Waziristan road accident

PESHAWAR: At least six security men were killed Monday in a road accident near Gomal Zam dam on the border of South Waziristan tribal region.

Official sources said a security forces' vehicle carrying Frontier Corps (FC) personnel coming from Tank towards the Gomal Zam dam turned turtle near the latter when it was negotiating a sharp turn and fell into a ravine.

Sources added that six FC soldiers died in the accident.

The personnel's bodies were later retrieved from the site of incident and shifted to a nearby hospital.

Earlier on Sunday, four security men were killed and 12 others wounded, when the vehicle they were travelling in overturned in the Baka Khel area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's Bannu district.

The security men were travelling from North Waziristan tribal region's Miramshah area towards Bannu, on a routine patrol, when the vehicle they were in met with an accident on the Bannu - Miramshah road in Baka Khel.
