Cook-it-yourself: Bread and butter pudding
Ingredients
Bread slices 6
Butter as required
Eggs 2
Milk 2 cups
Sugar 3 tbsp
Method
Divide each bread slice into four pieces, spread butter on each piece lavishly and set aside.
In a bowl mix milk, eggs and sugar until the sugar dissolves.
Arrange half of the bread slices in your baking dish and pour the mixture, cover with the remaining bread slices and put to bake in a preheated oven at 180C for 20-30 minutes.
Serve hot with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top.
