Women among 5 shot dead in Charsadda
CHARSADDA, Aug 2: Family disputes claimed lives of five persons, including three women, in separate incidents here on Friday, police said.
Two girls were killed in exchange of fire between two brothers, Gul Ahmed and Sheraz Ahmed, over a petty family dispute in jurisdiction of Saro Kalley police station. The deceased were identified as Nasra, daughter of Sheraz Ahmed, and a close relative, Shama.
In Daryab Korona area, wife of Mamreb was shot dead by her brother-in-law over a domestic dispute at her house in jurisdiction of Khwaja Wes police station. The accused managed to escape after the incident.
In another incident, which took place in the limits of Khanmai police station, Mohammad Israr was killed while his son, Adnan, and a passer-by, Noor Ali, were seriously injured when two brothers, Zia and Hammad, and another person, Sajid of Sholgara Mirakhel opened indiscriminate fire on them. The motive behind the incident was stated to be an old enmity.
Separately, a man named Namoos was killed by his rivals over a family feud In Katozai area of Shabqadar. —Correspondent
