Unity must to meet crises, says PHC CJ
PESHAWAR, Aug 14: Peshawar High Court Chief Justice Dost Mohammad Khan on Wednesday said the country had been facing multiple crises and the nation needed to be united to steer the country out of them.
“We need to work for the country with the same zeal that was shown by the people and leaders in 1947 when it (the country) came into being,” he told reporters after the flag hoisting ceremony on the premises of the high court.
The chief justice said if the people were united, nobody could harm the country.
He said in the past, the people had proved that they were capable of facing all sorts of crises and challenges and even they would manage to overcome the crises faced by the country.
Justice Dost Mohammad congratulated the people on the occasion of Independence Day and said independence was a great gift of the Allah Almighty.
“The independence became possible only due to the valuable sacrifices of our elders during the independence movement,” he said.
The ceremony was attended by judges of the high court, judicial officers, lawyers and others.
A squad of police presented guard of honour to the chief justice, while the national anthem was also played on the occasion.
