Additional judges of BHC sworn in

QUETTA: Shakeel Ahmed Baloch, Kamran Khan Mulakhel and Ejaz Swati were sworn in as additional judges of the Balochistan High Court on Monday. BHC Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa administered the oath.

The chief justice said that providing quick and cheap justice to people was the priority of the court, adding that efforts were being made to attain this objective.

According to a statement, the chief justice said it was for the first time that the strength of judges in the court had been raised to 10. He hoped that this would help expedite the judicial process.

Appreciating the lawyers’ role, Justice Isa said maintaining cooperation between the bench and the bar was a positive approach.

He said steps would be taken soon to fill up vacant posts in district courts.
