Asif, Majid knocked out of 6-Red snooker
KARACHI, Sept 5: Despite winning his last group fixture against England’s Steve Davis 5-2, world amateur snooker champion Mohammad Asif made his exit from the Sangsom 6-Red world championship in Bangkok on Thursday.
According to information available here, after losing four successive matches, Asif was finally able to overcome Englishman 16-38, 39-27, 31-1, 30-40, 73-0, 50-16, 45-1.
Meanwhile, Asif’s compatriot Mohammad Majid Ali was also knocked out of the event losing fourth straight game 3-5 to Ratchayothin Yotharak of Thailand.
