THATTA: Free medical camp held

THATTA, May 29: A one-day free medical camp was organized by "WISES", a social welfare organization, in Sujawal here on Tuesday.

About 300 patients were checked and provided with medicines.

Talking to journalists, WISES chief Ayesha Zia disclosed that the organization was setting up a dispensary in the town which would provide medical facilities to people round-the-clock. The dispensary would be equipped with X-Ray, ultra sound and other necessary machines.

She said the organization was also running a primary school and was providing free books and uniforms to children.

TRIBUTE: Tribute was paid to Syed Akbar, former secretary, Primary Teachers Association (PTA), Sindh chapter, at a farewell function in the Daro town on Wednesday.

Speaking at the function, Rafique Jarwar, Intizar Hussain, Qasim Pathar and others lauded the services of Mr Akbar in the cause of education.

All of them expressed concern over the deteriorating standard of education in the province since long.
