KARACHI, Sept 27: A Pakistan Air Force C-130 transport aircraft successfully dropped relief goods in the earthquake-hit areas of Awaran in Balochistan.

A PAF statement said the C-130 aircraft carried a load of 20,000kg of edibles packed in eight containers. The relief goods comprised 20,000 packets of ready-to-eat meals.

Earlier in the day, an IL-78 wide-body cargo aircraft of the PAF airlifted 35 tons of relief goods and two C-130 aircraft airlifted another 35 tons from the Nur Khan base and reached Sharea Faisal base in Karachi.

Two sorties of C-130 aircraft carrying relief goods arranged by the Provincial Disaster Management Authority of Punjab also flew from PAF Base in Lahore to PAF Faisal Base in Karachi.

The relief goods comprising tents, blankets, medicines and dry rations would be further dispatched through airdrop missions in effected areas of Balochistan, said the statement.
