Shujaat asks Musharraf not to leave country

GUJRAT, Oct 18: Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid chief Chaudhry Shujaat Husain says it will better for former president Pervez Musharraf not to leave the country if he wants to do politics in future.

He said despite having reservations over the flawed local government system and delimitation process, the PML-Q would take part in the local body elections since his party’s local groups were strong enough to achieve victory.

Talking to newsmen, Shujaat said his party would make an electoral alliance with the Pakistan Tekreek-i-Insaf during the local elections.

He said the people would get their power meters disconnected as soon as they received inflated electricity bills.

Earlier, Chaudhry Shujaat and Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi offered Eid prayers at the mosque of their native village Nut.

Later, they met party workers at the Zahoor Elahi House.

Pervaiz Elahi also visited the Jassoki village of his constituency to offer condolences on the killing of seven people during a terrorist attack at an outhouse of religious figure Fazeelat Shah alias Phul Shah who had been killed during that attack around a month and a half ago.
