DAWN Spelling Bee in Faisalabad

LAHORE; Oct 21: The first-ever Faisalabad Pool Rounds of the 9th DAWN in Education Spelling Bee Competition will be held on Tuesday (today) at the Faisalabad Arts Council Auditorium, says a press release.

This year the first-ever Faisalabad Rounds have been organised with the aim of facilitating schools from Faisalabad to participate in this prestigious competition in their own city. Over 200 students from 31 schools will be participating in the Faisalabad Pool Rounds.

The contest will be conducted in three age groups -- 9-11 years, 12-14 years and 15-17 years. Three students from each group will qualify for the Lahore Regional Championship which will be held on Nov 1.

This competition is being organised by The DAWN Media Group in partnership with United States Embassy, Islamabad. Judges belong to the Oxford University Press.
