Bodies of three young men found in Hangu
KOHAT, Oct 30: Bodies of three young men, including two brothers, were found in Mirabak area of Hangu district on Wednesday.
The Hangu city police told Dawn that the victims had been identified as Rehmatullah, Tahirul Hassan and his brother Aleem. They said that all the three were shot from close range.
Gul Hasan told the police that his sons had gone to irrigate their fields, where they were shot dead by some unidentified people. The third victim was also gunned down along with the two brothers. Ages of the three were said to be between 24 and 27 years.
The Hangu police have registered two cases on the complaints of Mr Hasan and father of Mr Rehmatullah against unidentified killers.
BOMBS DEFUSED: The police found and defused two bombs in Surgul area on Wednesday.
The Jarma police received a report that two suspicious boxes had been lying in Surgul area. Accompanied by bomb disposal squad they reached the scene and defused the bombs kept in the boxes. They said that the boxes also contained detonators, fuse wire etc.
The police have registered the case.
ENTRY BANNED: The administration has banned the entry of Afghan refugee businessmen into Kohat bazaar in connection with security measures for Muharramul Haram.
The decision was taken by deputy commissioner, Kohat, Saadat Hussain at separate meetings with representatives of Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat and Shia community in his office here on Wednesday. The ban would remain in place for six days.
The DC asked the ulema from both sides not to invite speakers from outside Kohat whose entry had been banned. Both the communities have assured the administration of support to maintain peace during Muharram.
