Baloch insurgents kill three workers in Turbat
QUETTA, Nov 19: Insurgents kidnapped and killed three construction workers and dumped their bodies near Turbat on Monday night. Another man kidnapped along with them is still missing.
A spokesman for the banned Baloch Republican Army (BRA) claimed responsibility for kidnapping and killing of the workers, who were identified as Mulazim Hussain, his son Abdullah and Mustafa. The missing worker is named Mohammad Hanif.
Police found bullet-riddled bodies of the victims in Josak area of Mekran on Monday.
Turbat Assistant Commissioner said that four of the five labourers building the house of a local resident were attacked by eight gunmen and kidnapped four of them.
“Bodies of the three labourers were found in the evening dumped with multiple bullet wounds, from Josak area of Turbat town,” Abdullah Khoso, a senior official of the Kech district administration, told Dawn, adding that the fourth labourer, Mohammad Hanif, the son of Mulazim Hussain, was still missing.
All victims belonged to Dera Ghazi Khan and were brought to Turbat by a local resident for construction of his house in Josak area.
“The deceased suffered multiple bullet wounds in their heads, chests and other parts of their bodies,” hospital sources said.
Sarbaz Baloch, the spokesman for the banned Baloch Republican Army, calling from an unknown place told journalists that BRA was behind the kidnapping and killing of the workers.
He claimed that they had been working for intelligence agencies. He said the BRA had kidnapped four people and killed three and the fourth one was a 12-year-old boy who the spokesman claimed had been released.
