Kidnapped Yemeni nationals freed

QUETTA, Nov 30: Two abducted Yemeni nationals were freed by a law-enforcement agency’s personnel after an exchange of fire with suspected kidnappers at Turbat in Makran division on Saturday night, official sources said.The foreigners were kidnapped from Karachi two years ago. On a tip, Frontier Corps personnel cordoned off a house in Absar area of Turbat town, but they were fired upon from inside the building, the sources said.

The FC personnel returned the fire and the shootout continued for half an hour when the suspected kidnappers escaped.The FC troops entered the house and found the handcuffed foreigners in a room. They were identified as Abdullah, son of Saaleh, and Azmi, son of Fazal.

The Yemenis were handed over to the police.
