Hiroshima and Nagasaki in pics

LAHORE: A senior member of Lahore High Court Bar Association on Tuesday held a photo exhibition in the bar to spread awareness about effects of Hiroshima and Nagasaki atomic blasts on the humanity.

Advocate Rana Etisham Rabbani organised the exhibition with the support of Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum (Japan) which sent him selected photos for the presentation.

Bar President Abid Saqi inaugurated the exhibition and praised the efforts of Advocate Rabbani.

The exhibition attracted a good number of bar members. Saqi regretted that the world forgot the real face of America and was calling it a civilised society.

Advocate Rabbani, also a former national hockey player, believes that the wounds of American’s cruel nuclear attacks on Japan could never be healed. He says atomic powers spend $10,735 billion per annum to maintain nukes whereas only $145 billion are required to meet food shortage of the entire world.

He suggests Pakistan and India to end their differences with dialogue and cap their nuclear programmes.
