Cold wave to persist in city

KARACHI: The metropolis remained in the grip of a cold wave coming from the northwestern side as the minimum temperature recorded on Sunday was six degrees Celsius, said the city weatherman, adding that a similar weather would prevail in the metropolis for the next few days.

He told Dawn that the maximum temperature recorded on Sunday was 24 degrees Celsius and the humidity — or the amount of moisture in the air — was 31 per cent.

The weather in the city was expected to remain cold and dry on Monday with the minimum temperature expected to range between six and eight degrees Celsius.

The Balochistan hill town of Kalat remained the coldest place in the country where the minimum temperature recorded on Sunday was -12 degrees Celsius, said the weatherman.
