ISLAMABAD: Extraordinary security measures have been taken for Eid-i-Miladun Nabi to be celebrated across the country on Tuesday.
There is a ban on pillion riding and cellphone service is likely to remain suspended in major cities and towns from morning till evening. Sources in cellular phone companies said they had been instructed to suspend the service for eight to 10 hours.
Over 100 Ulema, Mashaikh and scholars of the Sunni Ulema Board have urged people to maintain peace.
Mazhar Saeed Kazmi and Riaz Hussain Shah, Ameer and Nazim-i-Ala of the Jamaat Ahle Sunnat, said terrorists should surrender and start a new era of peace and prosperity in the country because the day gave the message of tolerance and peace.
