Azerbaijan offers trade to Sialkot

SIALKOT, June 24: Azerbaijan has invited the Sialkot’s exporters to explore the markets of Azerbaijan, “a gateway to Russian States and European Union.”

This was stated by the Ambassador of Azerbaijan in Islamabad Dr. Eynulla Madatli, while addressing a meeting of exporters at Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), here, after visiting various leading industrial units in Sialkot, Sambrial (Daska) and Uggoki on Tuesday.

SCCI President Babar Iqbal, SVP Muhammad Sadiq Goraya and Azerbaijan’s counsel Sabar Agabayov were also present on the occasion.

The ambassador said that Russian states and European union countries could become major market of Sialkot’s diversified traditional and non-traditional exportables through Azerbaijan.

Azerbaijan’s Envoy also offered some direct trade relations to Sialkot business for enhancing and strengthening the mutual trade ties.

He said that there are bright opportunities of setting up various joint ventures between Azerbaijan and Pakistan in different trade fields, as Azerbaijan’s various companies have shown keen interest in establishing joint ventures with Sialkot business community.

Dr Eynulla Madatli said that Azerbaijan and Pakistan are enjoying good trade relations and it’s high time to strengthen these trade ties.

He assured the Sialkot business community of providing up-to-date information about Azerbaijan’s international trade & export markets.

He said the business circles of the two countries would soon set up a business council to explore the possibilities of launching “Pakistan-Azerbaijan Friendship Society”.
