Uzbek carried out attack: CM

QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Dr Malik Baloch has said that the attack on a pilgrims’ bus in Mastung indicates that foreign terrorists have penetrated the province to carry out their activities.

He was talking to reporters after visiting the Combined Military Hospital, Quetta, where he met those injured in the attack on Wednesday evening.

He said there were reports that the militant killed in the explosion was an Uzbek national. “His face was damaged in the blast and it is difficult to identify him,” Dr Baloch said.

The chief minister said it had been suggested to the federal government to launch an air service between Quetta and Mashhad for pilgrims of Balochistan and a ferry service from Karachi to Iran for the faithful belonging to Sindh, Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
