Bohra man gunned down
KARACHI: A shopkeeper belonging to the Bohra community was gunned down in a suspected targeted attack in Napier area on Thursday evening, according to police.
The police said that unidentified gunmen attacked Mufasil Mohammed Zohaib, 35, in Jhat Pat market where he had a stationery shop. He sustained a single bullet wound to the head and was rushed to Civil Hospital Karachi where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival, said Napier SHO Azam Khan.
He said the victim was a resident of Saddar area.
JDC ambulance driver killed
The driver of an ambulance of Jafria Disaster Cell (JDC) was shot dead on the main University Road in Gulshan-i-Iqbal on Thursday evening, according to the Aziz Bhatti police.
The police added that Mohammad Ali Baber, 35, was driving the JDC ambulance when gunmen attacked him near the Federal Urdu University.
The victim was taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital from where he was referred to a private hospital, said Aziz Bhatti SHO, Ghulam Hussain Pirzado.
Three bodies identified
Three out of four bodies with gunshot wounds which were found off Super Highway in Memon Goth on Wednesday were identified on Thursday.
Police said that they were identified as Ihsanullah, Inayatullah and Abdul Rauf, residents of Muzaffarabad Colony, Quaidabad.
