Kashmir Day on Feb 5

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan, Chaudhry Mohammad Barjees, has said that Kashmir dispute can not be resolved without making the people of Kashmir a party to it and holding a plebiscite as required by the UN resolutions.

He said India could neither fool the world nor her own people over atrocities being perpetrated against innocent Kashmiris and illegal occupation of the territory.

Pakistan would highlight the Kashmir issue internationally by observing February 5 as Kashmir Solidarity Day, the minister told APP in an interview.

He said embassies and high commissions of Pakistan around the world would organise special events on this day to highlight the plight of Kashmiris.

Besides, seminars and rallies would feature the event and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was expected to address the members of the AJK Council in Muzaffarabad.—APP
