Internship for 600 graduates in Gujrat

GUJRAT: Six hundred graduates are being appointed to various public and private institutions of Gujrat for six-month internship under the Punjab Youth Internship Programme.

Gujrat District Officer Coordination Shuja Qutab Bhatti told Dawn on Friday that about 109 young graduates had already been selected and referred to the local trade and industry sectors for appointments where they would get training and the government would pay each trainee Rs12,000 per month.

Mr Bhatti said the internship programme had proved more successful in the district as compared to the other parts of the region.

He said the district administration would monitor the internship programme with a proper mechanism.
