PHC orders transfer, posting of 16 judges
PESHAWAR: The Peshawar High Court (PHC) on Saturday ordered transfer and posting of 16 judicial officers several of whom were serving in the high court on important posts.
The transferred officers include six district and sessions judges, four additional district and sessions judges, a senior civil judge and five civil judges.
According to an order released by PHC registrar Mohammad Arshad, district and sessions judge (DSJ) Zafar Iqbal Khan, who was serving as member inspection team at the high court, was transferred and posted as DSJ in Kohat, replacing Inamullah Khan who has been transferred to Tank.
Another DSJ, Mohammad Azim Afridi, an officer on special duty at the high court, was transferred as DSJ to Haripur in place of Tariq Yousafzai, who has now been made OSD at the high court.
Additional registrar (administration) Mohammad Farhatullah Khan was transferred and posted as DSJ in Hangu, replacing Mohammad Asif, who has now been made additional registrar (administration).
Additional district and sessions judge (ADSJ) Ms Riffat Aamir, who was serving as legal draftsperson and director of human rights directorate-II at the high court, was transferred and posted as ADSJ, Peshawar. Similarly, another ADSJ Qaiser Raheem, serving as director planning and development cell at the high court, was posted as ADSJ in Lower Dir.
The other transferred ADSJs include Hayat Gul, transferred from Tank to Dera Ismail Khan; and Ashfaque Taj, transferred from Peshawar to the high court as in-charge of the National Judicial Policy Implementation Cell (NJPIC).
Senior civil judge Irshad Ahmad, serving as in-charge of NJPIC, was transferred and posted at Swabi as senior civil judge.
The transferred civil judges cum judicial magistrates include: Ali Gohar, from Swabi to Nowshera; Ikramullah, from Charsadda to Sheringal, Upper Dir; Shah Hussain, from Sheringal to Charsadda; Ms Sanam Taj, from Lower Dir to Mardan; and Arshad Khan, from Mardan to Lower Dir.
