Minister pledges to make Sialkot model district

SIALKOT: Federal Minister for Defence Khawaja Asif has pledged to work for making Sialkot a model district as it has global significance due to its industry and exports.

He was talking to various delegations which called on him at his residence on Sunday.

Mr Asif said the PML-N had successfully put the country on the road to economic and political stability by taking important decisions in the larger national interests on the right time.

The PML-N government was implementing several revolutionary practical steps to pull the country and the nation out of the energy crisis besides tackling the internal and external issues, he said.

MPAs Muhammad Ikram, Manshaullah Butt, Arshad Javaid Warraich and PML-N leaders were also present.

Earlier, addressing the party workers, Asif said the government was committed to weeding out terrorism from the country and the whole nation was united against terrorism.

He said the government was working to end the energy crisis but establishment of durable peace was its top priority.

He also listened to the problems of the masses during an open court and issued orders on applications for providing relief to the people. He inaugurated the reconstruction of the old building of Govt Girls Primary School Muzaffarpur near Sialkot.
