TANK: A World Health Organisation (WHO) official and five members of a polio team were kidnapped in the tribal area of Frontier Region Tank on Monday.

The local political administration identified the personnel kidnapped as WHO’s polio eradication officer Dr Khandan, supervisor Fareed, driver Taleemullah and Levies’ Lance Naiks Amanaullha and Dawlat Khan and sepoy Minhas.

It said the team was returning from Jammat Koroona near the settled area of Mullazai where they had gone to assess vaccination coverage.
