Four killed in Karachi violence
KARACHI: At least four people were killed in different incidents of violence in Karachi on Thursday, DawnNews reported.
One person was shot dead near Makkah chowk area.
Two bodies were found in Karachi's Bin Qasim Town on Link Road. The victims, who could not be identified, had been shot dead. Their bodies were shifted to the hospital by the police.
Meanwhile, six robbers looted a private bank in the North Karachi area and made away with more than three lakh rupees
The police officials have started the investigation using the CCTV footage.
Furthermore, one person was also shot dead by militants in the Baldia Town area of Qaim Khani Colony.
Meanwhile, the Civic Centre building was evacuated by the officials and the bomb disposal squad was called on, upon receiving a tip-off about the presence of a suspicious motorcycle in the premises.
However the BDS declared the site as clear after conducting a thorough search of the building.
Karachi, the largest metropolitan city of Pakistan, is riddled with targeted killings, gang wars, kidnappings for ransom, extortion and terrorism.
Targeted operations led by Rangers’ forces with the support of police are ongoing in the city under a directive issued by the federal government against criminals already identified by federal, military and civilian agencies.
