Ziarat Residency to be restored by Aug 14

QUETTA: The Quaid-i-Azam Residency in Ziarat will be restored to its original shape by Aug 14.

A team of engineers and architects, under the supervision of Chief Secretary of Balochistan Babar Yaqoob Fateh Muhammad, is busy in reconstruction and restoration of the residency.

The building was completely gutted when militants blew up the Ziarat Residency on June 14, last year.

A high level meeting under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary reviewed the progress work, on Tuesday.

The meeting was told that the Quaid-i-Azam Residency would be completely restored by Aug 14.

“We are trying our level best to restore the Residency to its original shape,” Chief Secretary Babar Yaqoob said and directed completion of work at the earliest, so that it could be opened to public.

“Negligence will not be tolerated by any side in the completion of work,” he warned.
