Condolence reference for PHC judge

PESHAWAR: The Peshawar High Court Chief Justice Mian Fasihul Mulk on Friday paid tributes to late Justice Shahjehan Khan Akhundzada, stating that with his death the judiciary had lost a competent and brave judge.

Addressing a condolence reference held for the late judge of the high court, Mr Mulk said the deceased had often tried to deliver judgments without any fear or

favour and his services for the judiciary would be remembered for a long time to come. The reference was attended by judges of the high court, lawyers and court officials.

The high court chief justice said they shared the grief and sorrow of the bereaved family and would pray to Almighty to rest his soul in eternal peace.

He added that with his death the judiciary had lost a competent judge whereas they had lost a good colleague. He said despite suffering from cancer justice Shahjehan efficiently performed his official work till his death.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Advocate General Abdul Lateef Yousafzai, deputy attorney general Manzoor Khalil, PHC Bar Association president Ishtiaq Ibrahim and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Bar Council vice chairman Akhtar Ali Khan Nahqi also

addressed the reference and paid tributes to justice Shahjehan.
