Two brothers among four gunned down near Larkana
LARKANA: Four people, among them two brothers, were gunned down and another man suffered injuries when motorcycle-riding assailants sprayed their car with bullets near Channa village, 15 kilometres from here on Saturday.
The killings were an offshoot of an old enmity, said Bakrani police. Those who were killed on the spot were identified as Mohammad Mubin Junejo, 28, Aijaz Junejo, 30, (brothers) and Irfan Khaskheli, the car driver.
The other two occupants of the car, Mehboob Junejo and Daud Junejo, were alive but seriously injured when they were taken to Chandka Medical College Hospital. Mehboob died on arrival at the hospital while Daud was admitted, said hospital sources, adding Daud’s condition was precarious.
Gullan Junejo, a close relative of the victims, told reporters at the hospital that the assailants avenged the murder of Allan Junejo who had been killed about a month ago in Dokri town.
“Though we have nothing to do with that murder, the assailants wrongly assumed the deceased were linked to it,” he said.
According to sources, the motorcycle-riding assailants began chasing the car when it left Dokri for Larkana. The victims were going there to appear in a case.
