Fourteen tennis matches decided

LAHORE: Fourteen matches were decided in the main round of the Pakistan Open tennis championship at the Bagh-i-Jinnah courts here on Monday.

Besides it, ten under-18 matches were also decided in the first round.

Men’s singles: Yasir Khan beat Munir Ashiq 6-3, 6-4;    Shehzad  beat Gul Hameed 6-0, 6-1;  Imran Shaukat beat Wakeel Khan 6-1, 6-0; Inamullah beat Sikander Hayat 0-6, 6-4, 7-5; Omer Babar beat Syed Nofil Kaleem 7-5, 7-6;  Zaryab Khan beat Abdal Haider 6-1, 7-6;  Usman Rafiq beat Fayyaz Khan 6-3, 6-4; M. Abid  beat Ahmad Baber 6-1, 6-0;   Heera Ashiq beat Iftikhar Ahmad 6-0, 6-0; Ahmad Chaudhry beat Nomi Qamer  6-2, 6-4; Mian Bilal beat Saif Ali 6-3, 6-4; Aqeel Khan beat Shaheen Mehmood 6-0, 6-0; Sanaullah beat Irfanullah 6-4, 6-4;    Shehzad Khan bt Hasnain Manzoor 6-1, 6-1.
