Quartet to compete in World U-21 Snooker

KARACHI: A four-member Pakistan team will fly to Dubai on its way to Fujairah to compete in the International Billiards and Snooker Federation (IBSF) World Under-21 Snooker Championship which is being held there from May 10 to 18.

The team comprised national junior champion Mohammad Majid Ali, runner-up Mohammad Haris Nadeem, losing semi-finalists Hamza Akbar and Mohammad Faheem.

A week-long training camp for the Fujairah bound cueists with the exception of Hamza, begins at a local parlour from Thursday. The camp which concludes on May 8, will be supervised by Naveed Kapadia.

Hamza has gone to Fujairah to compete in the Asian Snooker Championship which concludes on Saturday. Majid, who finished runner-up at the Asian junior championship at Indore last year, has got a wildcard entry.
