Anti-government protesters take cover from tear-gas fired by the police as they clash during a funeral procession for fellow protester Sayed Mohsen, in the village of Sitra south of Manama. Mohsen died on May 21, after clashes between security forces and demonstrators marking the third day of mourning for a man killed by a bomb blast a week before, witnesses and activists said. The Interior Ministry said that the police in Sitra had reacted after they had been attacked by fire-bombs during clashes.
