Zardari asks MPAs to keep in touch with people

KARACHI: PPP Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari has directed the party’s members of the Sindh Assembly to spend more time in their constituencies and try to solve people’s problems.

Addressing a meeting of the MPAs at Bilawal House here on Monday, he instructed them to monitor ongoing development projects and ensure their completion on time.

The meeting, which was attended by PPP Patron-in-Chief Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah and provincial ministers, reviewed the performance of the Sindh government over past year.

Mr Zardari directed the ministers to visit every district and hold public outreach programmes on a regular basis.

He said the PPP had always preferred the policy of reconciliation and strengthening democracy. “It is an ideological party of downtrodden class. Poor people of Sindh have always expressed trust in the PPP.”

The MPAs briefed the party leadership about the development projects, law and order situation.
