Three killed in Chakwal
CHAKWAL: Three people, including a woman, were killed in three separate incidents, police sources said.
The first incident occurred in Jaffarabad where a man strangled his sister-in-law with his brother as an accomplice. The brothers hanged the body to a ceiling fan to make it look like suicide and cover up their crime. However, the accused fled the scene before the police arrived at the scene.
“We have registered a case and are trying our best to trace the accused,” Station House Officer (SHO) of city police station Zaraat Baloch told Dawn. He vowed that the killers will be arrested soon.
The second incident occurred in Pachnand village of Talagang tehsil when Ghulam Yasin went to the residence of Mohammad Shahzad to settle a land dispute. As the discussion turned sour, Mohammad Shahzad attacked Ghulam Yasin with a knife and killed him on the spot. The accused then fled the scene. The police have registered a case and started efforts to trace the accused.
Meanwhile, Mohammad Saqlain was killed on his way home after closing his shop in Jabairpur village. He was ambushed by Javed Iqbal, Ubaidullah and several others who beat him to death with iron rods. After committing the murder, the assailants managed to flee the village. Saddar police have started efforts to arrest the accused after registering a case against them.
