Qadri wants cases against PM, CM

LAHORE: PAT chief Dr Tahirul Qadri says murder cases will be lodged against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Law Minister Rana Sana and other PML-N leaders for the killing of his party workers.

At a press conference from Canada through video link on Tuesday, he termed the raid on Minhajul Quran offices state terrorism. He said the FIR would also be lodged against the police authorities.

"There will be Qisas (an eye for eye) according to the Sharia law," the religious scholar warned.

Besides killing of seven activists and injuries to 83 others, hundreds of others were picked up by police, he alleged, fearing for the lives of the ‘missing workers'.

Mr Qadri claimed the PAT was targeted for supporting the ISI and the army." A chaos is being created within the nation to distract the attention from the army's operation in North Waziristan," he said.

He said his June 23 homecoming plan was intact and that he would accept martyrdom for people's rights and eliminating corruption. He said a strategy to cope with the situation would be prepared after consultations.
