Sanaullah confident in facing Lahore commission

LAHORE: Former Punjab law minister Rana Sanaullah on Tuesday expressed his full confidence that he will be cleared by a judicial commission which will be questioning him, DawnNews reported.

Speaking to the media outside the Punjab Assembly, Rana Sanaullah said that he has accepted every decision made by his party wholeheartedly.

He said that having resigned from his former position as law minister, the judicial commission can now be clean and fair.

He said that he will present himself before the commission not as a minister but as an ordinary citizen.

Rana Sanaullah that it is the responsibility of the civil authorities and the police to deal with illegal obstacles.

The former law minister said he is still standing by the position he has held on the matter.

He said that the Lahore incident may have happened due to mismanagement, but there was absolutely no preplanned arrangement made to harm anyone.

Rana Sanaullah said that the issue is now in the hands of the judicial commission, and said that he will not comment on being accused of murder by Tahirul Qadri.
