Amin Fahim’s younger brother laid to rest

HYDERABAD: Makhdoom Naveeduzzaman, a literary figure and a younger brother of PPP Parliamentarians president Makhdoom Amin Fahim, was laid to rest in Hala on Wednesday evening.

Makhdoom Naveed, 48, along with his son, was on a visit to Swat where he fell ill and died on Tuesday. Unlike many of his family members, he stayed away from politics.

His body was brought from Islamabad to Karachi and then transported to Hala on Wednesday. The deceased was buried within the precincts of the Makhdoom Sarwar Nooh shrine in his ancestral graveyard.

Makhdoom Amin Fahim could not attend the funeral.

MPA Dr Makhdoom Rafiquzzaman, Makhdoom Khaliquzzman, Makhdoom Saeeduzzaman, Mohammad Khan Junejo, Matiari Deputy Commissioner Fayyaz Abbasi, former and serving senior police officials and several thousand Sarwari Jamaat volunteers and PPP workers attended the funeral.

However, no PPP minister or central leader was present.
