Seven judges terminated

LAHORE: The Lahore High Court chief justice has terminated the services of seven civil judges-cum-judicial magistrates during their probationary period.

The terminated judged are Nadeem Asghar Nadeem (Jalalpur Pirwala), Muhammad Amjad (Sialkot), Muzaffar Husain (Chiniot), Zalay Huma (Lahore), Qamar Zaman Tarar (Sargodha), Bushra Farid (Chichawatni) and Saima Asif (Gujranwala).

Meanwhile, 211 civil judges have been declared to have successfully completed their probation period.

The chief justice in exercise of powers under sections 9 and 10 of the Punjab Civil Courts Ordinance, 1962, conferred upon the successful officers powers of a class-II civil judge to be exercised by them within the limits of the civil district.

These judges have also been placed in BS-18.
