Homeland season four to provide glimpse of Pakistan

Correction: An earlier version of the story stated the show was filmed in Pakistan, instead of set in Pakistan. The error is regretted.

Pakistani fans of the Homeland TV series are in for a treat, as the show's latest season four features the lead character, Carrie Mathison, tackling a new mission in Pakistan.

The show may not have been filmed in Pakistan, but the depiction would be interesting to watch.

The recently released one-minute trailer shows the protagonist Mathison on her own this time, as Nicholas Brody was killed off last season. Interestingly, the trailer shows Mathison with a baby — presumably her child with Brody?

A report published by Hollywood Life quotes one of the show's producer, Alex Gansa, as saying, "It’s about seeing Carrie Mathison for the first time doing the job she was trained to do — being a case officer in a foreign capital."

"We’re going to see what an intelligence officer does on the ground. How she recruits assets, how she deals with the foreign government and her country team — the people she works within the embassy — and the host country’s intelligence services. That is a complicated and murky world, one that we hope is filled with intrigue and drama and adventure."

With Brody (Damian Lewis) off the show, the latest season of Homeland would see several new actors added to its cast: Raza Jaffrey, Michael O’Keefe, Corey Stoll and Laila Robbins.

The famous espionage-thriller TV series is being produced under the banner of Showtime, a US cable channel network, and has aired three seasons in total.

Homeland season four will premiere on October 5.
