Nawaz Sharif to leave for Saudi Arabia

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will leave for Saudi Arabia on Sunday night where he will hold discussions with the Kingdom's leadership on a number of issues. He will also perform Umrah during his visit.
According to a statement issued by the Prime Minister Office on Sunday evening, Nawaz Sharif will travel on a normal commercial flight along with 12 members of his family.
“The prime minister and his family members will bear the entire traveling and lodging expenses themselves,” the statement said.
During his visit, the prime minister will meet with the Saudi leadership to discuss bilateral ties and the evolving situation in the Middle East especially Gaza, Syria and Iraq.
PML-N sources close to Nawaz Sharif said that the prime minister will also discuss the internal political situation of Pakistan with the Saudi leadership.
This includes matters related to the PTI's long march, development in former president Pervez Musharraf's case and the ongoing military operation in North Waziristan against militants.
