Siraj quits cabinet to work on JI’s ‘Awami agenda’
OKARA: Jamaat-i-Islami emir Sirajul Haq said on Wednesday that an ‘Awami agenda’ had been prepared by his party which he would unveil in Islamabad on Aug 4.
Speaking at an Iftar party at Jinnah Park here on Wednesday, Mr Haq said he had resigned from the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cabinet as senior minister to propagate the Awami agenda.
“I will visit every nook and corner of the country to awaken people who elect feudals in every election.”
He criticised the political parties that had supported the Protection of Pakistan Act.
The JI chief said the Musharraf issue had become a bitter pill for the government.
