Governor for celebrating Eid with IDPs

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Sardar Mahtab Ahmed Khan has said that the day is not far when IDPs will be repatriated to their homes and will be able to lead their lives in complete normalcy.

In his Eid message issued here Monday, the governor said: “Eid-ul-Fitr is a sacred Islamic festival, bestowed by Almighty Allah on the faithful for successfully observing Ramzanul Mubarik, the Holy month of fasting with solemnity, spirit of fraternity, discipline and cohesion. The occasion covers every aspect of the daily routines; the observance of religious social, civic and cultural values in particular.”

Sardar Mahtab stated: “While extending my deep felicitations to the countrymen in general and of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Fata, in particular, I would like to remind them to be more generous in sharing their festivities with the people living in their vicinity.”

“We have great regard for the difficult circumstances through which our displaced tribal brethren and sisters are going. We also value the extreme sacrifices being offered by officers and jawans of Pak Army and other law enforcement agencies in this hour of test.”

Indeed maintenance of staunch bonds of unity, spirit of brotherhood, fraternity and cohesion in our ranks and files might not only be the best tribute to them but also was the demand of the hour to materialise the cherished goal of ensuring complete stability of the society, the governor concluded.
