Blast injures three in Hangu ‏

PESHAWAR: At least three people were injured on Monday in a improvised explosive device (IED) blast near Doaba area of the Hangu District.

Police said that a passenger van was travelling from Hangu to Peshawar when it hit a roadside-planted homemade device in Sarozai area of Doaba .

Station House Officer of Doaba police station Ainullah Khan said that three people were injured in the blast. He added that the bomb might have been planted to target security forces or police.

Police and security forces reached the area as a probe into the incident went underway.

The bomb disposal experts were also called in to ascertain the nature of the bomb which appeared to be a remote controlled device.
