Marchers to be stopped by force: Zaeem
LAHORE: After the announcement of Dr Tahirul Qadri to start a 'revolution march' side by side with the Pakistan Tahreek-i-Insaf on Aug 14, the PML-N government has decided to also stop PTI activists by force.
The PML-N circles are of the view the government has been considering giving a free hand to the PTI for its Azadi March but after Dr Qadri announced that his supporters will also march on Islamabad on Aug 14, it is left with no other option but to stop the protesters of both parties by force.
"We will not allow Qadri and his supporters to create anarchy in the country. Nobody is allowed to challenge the writ of the state," PML-N leader Zaeem Qadri told Dawn here on Monday.
He said the police would not let Qadri leave Model Town.
Replying to a question as to how the government would stop hundreds of women supporters of Qadri in Model Town, he said: "The lady police will stop them. Nobody is given permission to damage the public property. "
Zaeem Qadri said the government was considering giving free hand to Imran Khan's protest but since he had joined hands with Qadri and the government had decided otherwise.
"Imran should show maturity and do not allow Qadri's supporters to enter his party's rank," he said, adding he (Imran) would be answerable to his educated voters.
