Imran, Qadri urged not to agitate
TIMERGARA: Central chief of Hizb-i-Islami Pakistan Naseeb Rawan Darvaish on Monday urged PTI chief Imran Khan and PAT leader Tahirul Qadri not to agitate, saying the country can’t afford agitational politics under the current circumstances.
Darvaish told reporters at the Timergara Press Club that the Washington, New Delhi and Jerusalem wanted to destabilise the democratic government in Pakistan to make India the regional power.
He said the people should celebrate the Independence Day pledging to put the country on the path of democracy, peace, prosperity and development.
The Hizb leader said the PTI’s Azadi March and PAT’s Revolution March had given a wrong message to the world about the country.

HELP SOUGHT FOR TB CONTROL: Experts on Monday called upon media, clerics and social activists to play due role in the eradication of tuberculosis from the country.
The call was given during an awareness session for journalists on tuberculosis at Timergara Press Club. Journalists showed up in large numbers.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief of TB Control Programme, Lower Dir Dr Fida Mohammad and provincial coordinator Aftabullah said tuberculosis patients were provided medical attention at six centres of the programme in Lower Dir free of charge.
They said 1,100 patients were treated at those facilities last year.
The experts said bad and longer cough, chest pain, blood sputum, general weakness, weight loss, lack of appetite, chills, fever and sweating at night were the common symptoms of tuberculosis and anyone with such symptoms should contact the nearby facilities immediately.
They said tuberculosis was caused by a bacteria spreading from one person to another by air.
Dr Fida and Aftabullah said tuberculosis patients were provided six months treatment at tuberculosis centres in the district.
They urged the media to increase public awareness of ways and means to prevent and control tuberculosis to check the growing incidence of the killer disease.
