70 PAT buses accompanying Azadi March
RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) on Friday claimed that more than 70 buses of its party workers wereaccompanying the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf’s (PTI) Azadi March and would join PAT rally on arrival in Islamabad.
The party’s Rawalpindi chapter information secretary, Suhail Abbasi, told Dawn that the Lahore administration forced the transporters to cancel the booking of 70 buses and it took more than five hours to arrange more buses.
“Due to this, the PAT Inquilab March left Lahore late and the 70 buses carrying PAT workers joined the PTI march. Our march is separate from PTI’s Azadi March and our workers would join the party once they arrive in the capital,” he said.
Mr Abbasi said PAT Rawalpindi and Islamabad chapters had made the arrangements for food for the participants and in this regard, it had hired services of over 20 caterers.
“For Saturday, PAT brought cooked chicken rice from the nearby town,” he said.
