Former spokesman for outlawed Lashkar-i-Islam killed

PESHAWAR: A former spokesman of the outlawed Lashkar-i-Islam was killed late on Saturday in Bara tehsil of Khyber Agency.

According to sources, former LI spokesman Zar Khan was shot dead by unknown gunmen.

Khan's bullet ridden body was recovered from Sipah area of Bara.

Khyber links several agencies to each other, serving as a north-south route within Fata. The region has been long fought over by a mix of militant organisations, including the TTP, the Ansarul Islam and Mangal Bagh’s Lashkar-i-Islam.
