‘PTI should have sought fresh polls much earlier’
KASUR: Instead of now demanding resignation from Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf should have left the assemblies immediately after the 2013 elections and demanded fresh polls, if its leader had strong evidence of rigging.
PPP Senator Aitzaz Ahsan said this on Sunday here at a seminar organised by Majlis-i-Bulleh Shah in connection with the rebel Sufi poet’s 257th Urs.
He said PTI chief Imran Khan was not setting a good example by staging such a protest in a democratic setup.
Mr Ahsan urged promotion of Punjabi language and propagation of Bulleh Shah’s poetry that, he said had the element of universality and contained solution of problems being faced by the country.
