My son’s life in danger, says Kachkol

KARACHI: A Baloch leader expressed apprehensions on Wednesday that his son, who `disappeared’ in Karachi on Aug 30, might meet the same fate that other missing people have met.

Kachkol Ali, a former Leader of the Opposition in Balochistan Assembly, told Dawn on phone from Norway that his son, 21-year-old Nabeel Baloch, was taken away near his residence in Karachi’s Garden West area on Saturday.

He suspected that Nabeel might have beeen taken away by personnel of some security agency and apprehended that he might be eliminated.

The Baloch leader urged the authorities concerned to get his innocent son freed.

Kachkol Ali advocate, leader of the Balochistan National Movement, reportedly got asylum in Norway after he received threats in 2010, a year after the ‘kidnapping’ of three Baloch activists from his chamber in Turbat. Ghulam Mohammed, Lala Munir and Sher Mohammed were later found murdered.
