Book review: Top 10 of Everything 2015

THE giant of all fact books for 2015 is here – Top 10 of Everything 2015! Your ultimate guide to everything from entertainment to sports, from games to the galaxy, from machines to man, it’s all in there.

With more than a thousand of the most intriguing and fascinating facts, comprising a listing of the top 10 in each category, the book is enough to keep you flipping its pages for days and dazzling your friends with your knowledge of top 10 most successful video games, top 10 fastest military machines, top 10 biggest video game movie adaptations, top 10 craziest rides/experiences to the top 10 most awesome skate parks, the list is endless.

Packed with photographs, and the Xtreme fact section that states some interesting inside story about one of the things in the list, there is also Check it out that offers yet more facts! Some websites are also mentioned with different facts for those who are interesting in exploring more about any subject and fact.

This illustrated reference book of quantifiable top 10 lists on a large variety of subjects, is being published annually since 1989 and the current edition is written by Paul Terry. Divided into 10 sections, understandably, along with lists, facts and pictures, there are quizzes at the end of each section to test the reader’s knowledge about the topic. The quizzes include multiple choice questions, word search and picture puzzles, with Your top 10 pick offering you a chance to list down your ultimate list.

The only issue I have with the book is not really its size, but its weight (which isn’t surprising considering the glossy art paper used) that makes it a bit too heavy to hold for long — and it’s a book you can go on reading for hours!
