Ebola virus : Can the outbreak be stopped?
The Health Ministry of Zaire named the Ebola virus after the Ebola River back in 1976. That river is a tributary of the Congo River. While Ebola continues to ravage West Africa, Sierra Leone is one of the hardest-hit countries. The virus has killed more than 3,300 people and infected at least twice as many in West Africa.
